Lyft offers several different types of monthly passes which people often confuse as being similar. In fact, they are all quite different and give you as a rider more control over how to save money when you use Lyft services. Some give you specific dollar savings on each ride, while others give you a percentage discount on fares. The one thing all Lyft monthly pass types have in common is you need to use the discounts during the month for which they are issued.

Lyft Pink is definitely the most popular discount lyft monthly pass for good reason. It is easy to understand and can save you the most money the more you use Lyft. While the other types of monthly passes let you save a specific amount of money on each ride, Lyft Pink gives you 15% off every ride you make within the month no matter how much that ride costs. The 15% discount applies to every kind of ride from a shared to a Lux and everything between.

Bikes & Scooters Perk which gives you specific discounts per minute for using bikes and scooters. Bike perks are available in Washington DC Metro Area (via Capital Bikeshare), New York Metro Area, and San Francisco Bay Area (via Bay Wheels). Priority Dispatch at Airports

This perk will save you some time by matching you with a closer driver. But this service is not available at the airports where they have their own Fast Match services ready as Lyft cannot guarantee any faster response. Here is the list of the airports that this Lyft service is not offered: LAX, LGA, MDW, MSY, PDX, and SAN.

Cancellation Fee

You can cancel a ride 3 times per month if you canceling it in less than 15 minutes. However, you will still be charged for the cancellation fee.

Special Member Offers

Lyft will have Limited offers from time to time for its special members to surprise them with different premium services such as seasonal discounts, premium mode discounts, or partnership offers.

 

It only costs $19.99/month for riders to join Lyft Pink and enjoy its benefits and services (plus tax where needed). You can start using this service by going to the ‘Lyft Pink’ tab in your Lyft app. Passengers with other types of passes such as Lyft Ride Pass won’t be able to use Lyft Pink until their pass subscription has ended. You can not use prepaid cards, commuter benefits cards, and digital wallets for Pink recurring membership fees, but you can use them for ride payments.

If you don’t see the ‘Lyft Pink’ tab in your app then it means you are not eligible for this service yet and you’ll have to join the waitlist at www.lyft.com/pink for a chance to be granted early access. After you join Lyft Pink for the first time, you’ll be charged every month for the plan and it will renew itself until you cancel the service through the app.

What Is A Lyft Commuter Pass?

 

Lyft offers a service to the other companies in its partnership which allows its employees to take a ride and split the cost of the ride with each other and help make their commute easier. Lyft Commuter Pass will save you up to 37% on your rides if you’re using pre-tax dollars to pay. The companies with which Lyft has partnered with are:

WageWorks®, Zenefits, Benefit Resource, Commuter Benefit Solutions, Gusto, EBPA, Navia, and Ameriflex.

 

All commuter benefits funds are dedicated to paying for Lyft line and they are not usable for regular rides. Your amount of savings will depend on your tax bracket. If you need to check your exact savings, you can check them with your benefits provider.

 

Follow the steps below to request a ride with commuter benefits:

  1. Open the Lyft app.

  1. Tap on the Shared mode.

  2. Set your destination and pickup location.

  3. Make sure your commuter benefits prepaid card is selected as the method of payment. You won’t be able to change this after the ride is requested.
